What would you like to know?

An SMC (Smart Mobility Control) system is a traffic device that can temporarily issue traffic restrictions, warnings or notices of a change in traffic routing via automated LED displays.

The essential components of an SMC system for traffic management are:

  • SMC LED variable message sign (display cross section)
Via these units, corresponding temporary Traffic signs and notices are played out automatically.
  • SMC sensors with automatic detection of traffic (measurement cross-section).
The speed is automatically recorded via these systems.
  • SMC software (GUI) for monitoring and controlling the individual SMC display cross sections.
In the SMC software, parameters are analyzed and, based on the results, appropriate circuits are switched on the variable message signs.

The SMC system stores internal telemetry data of the devices, anonymized traffic data, and access and switching operations.

The encrypted communication between the control panel and the SMC components currently complies with TLS version 1.2.

User rights can be assigned individually on the basis of individual functions. A distinction is always made between read access and switching authorization.

SMC displays can be switched both with intelligent control and stationary, without an integration into the SMC system.

YES, retrofitting existing LED advance warning signs with the SMC hardware is possible.

It is possible to use solar modules to supply power to the SMC systems. (Optional)

Communication between individual SMC components and the central SMC software (GUI) takes place via the GSM network (Global System for Mobile Communication). The browser with the web-based software for operation communicates with the server via HTML.
